Mission San Xavier Del Bac
Founded by Spanish Jesuit Priest Eusebio Kino, this historic church remains an active Franciscan mission located in the San Xavier District of the Tohono O’odham Nation. The building of this spectacular example of Mexican Baroque architecture began in 1783 and work continued for 14 years before funds ran out. Often referred to as the “White Dove of the Desert” the building is currently undergoing careful restoration. The site, one of the most photographed locations in Tucson, is considered a “must see” in Southern Arizona. Free, docent led tours are offered Monday through Saturdays: 9:30am–12:30pm. Pima County Sheriff's Mounted Posse
The Pima County Sheriff’s Posse is a Non Profit all-Volunteer Mounted unit founded in 1946.

Our goal is to keep alive the Cowboy tradition of the Southwest and to educate the public about the joys and fascination of Southern Arizona's outdoors on foot and on horseback.

The Posse contributes its time and services to community projects as well as trail riding events for charities.
